When most people look at an object they see its surface and nothing more. For me, taking photographs is a way to look below the surface. Each time I pick up the camera there is a new feeling, a new moment, something new to see and learn. A successful photograph is one that makes you want to look longer - to see beneath the surface. My hope is that my photographs are more than just likenesses … that they make you want to stop and look deeper.
